The drive to the Old City
Sultanahmet sits at the tip of the historic peninsula, about 48 km south-east of the airport. Outside rush hour the drive takes around 55 minutes; on weekday evenings it can take 90 minutes or more. Your driver chooses the faster road on the day, and the price does not change with traffic.
Drop-off at your hotel in Sultanahmet
Many hotels in Sultanahmet, Cankurtaran and Küçük Ayasofya are on narrow or one-way streets, and the area around Sultanahmet Square and the Hippodrome is closed to cars. If your hotel cannot be reached by car, the driver stops at the closest point that can. Give us the exact hotel name and address when you book so the driver can plan the last few hundred metres.
